A WOMAN was stunned when her pokie machine showed that she had won $8.5 million.
The casino though told her not to believe what she had seen. The machine had a maximum jackpot of $20,000 and the figure she saw was a malfunction.

and had put about $100 into a video game, Jurassic Riches, when the machine showed her winnings rolling over and over.
The figure kept climbing until it showed Castillo, of Portland, Oregon, had won more than $8.5 million.
“I was very excited and happy,’ the mortgage loan officer told KOIN. “Then, I couldn’t believe it.”
The casino staff came over and told her the machine had made an error and malfunctioned.
“They shut off the machine, took it away, printed out a ticket and gave me $80.”
All of the casino’s gaming machines have a sticker stating that a malfunction of the machine voids all pays and plays.
“To me, it’s cheating, may even be fraudulent,” Castillo said.
“I was very disappointed, very upset and then I started to think about all the people there, and then I got angry.”

The casino is adamant that it did nothing wrong.
“The win claimed by Ms Castillo is not legally or practically possible on the machine,” said Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel spokesman Joseph Dupuis in a statement.
“We deeply regret that Ms. Castillo temporarily experienced an incorrect credit display while the machine began its process of metering down after the display malfunction, and have offered her a weekend stay in one of our suites as our guest, as well as dining at the property and free play included.”

Castillo is considering legal action.
“If it needs to go to trial, then we’ll go to trial,” she told The Oregonian.
Washington State Gambling Commission said the pokie game Jurassic Riches was not regulated unlike other machines in the casino.
Spokeswoman Susan Newer told The Oregorian that an agent assigned to the casino reported that the game had acted “odd” before “spinning backwards.”

Second, is across the street at the hotel. As Retiredguy posted in Winter 2016 they have about 12 spaces that offer water and electric. The spaces are narrow with almost no space between spots. You are not allowed to extend your slide. These spaces cost $25.00 per night. These spots are close to the casino. They include easy access to the laundromat (down the hall from the front desk), pool, and discount at Starbucks.
Third, is a parking lot camp about 1 mile away on Highway 12 across the street from their store. You can call for a shuttle or drive over. If you want to bicycle the road is well paved and fairly wide. These spots are nicer than the ones by the hotel. They do offer sewer as well as electric and water. These spaces are wide enough that you are allowed to put out your slide. These are RV spaces and not camping spaces. They do not allow fires. The biggest negatives are: as with most any casino rv space it is just a nice parking lot. The other bad is it is right on Highway 12 so there is some traffic noise.
Across the street is the tribe gas station and store. When I was there last, August 2018, the gas prices were very low. I jumped at the chance to fill up with diesel and propane. Where just about everywhere else was charging $3.49 for propane they were charging $1.99.

Overall it seem pleasant enough, quiet and everyone is friendly. The spots are quite narrow and you are not supposed to have your slides out. We did for a short time while we were in the rig because we need them out to get around in the rig, but it would be a problem if the spots were busy.
